design bio

I graduated Auburn University in 1994 with a BFA in Graphic Design and promptly moved to Atlanta, GA to pursue a career in graphics. My first big project was working on the graphics and animations for Emmit Smith Football for the Super Nintendo. While I was working on this project as a freelance artist I landed my first full time position at Lightpoint Entertainment, a small computer graphics company. A company small in size yet large on talent, Lightpoint attracted clients such as Microsoft, Turner, Paramount, MGM and Disney. At Lightpoint, I worked on such projects as interactive CD-ROMs, games, web pages, and concert graphics. Taking on several different roles in the company, I found myself working as Animator, Compositor, Designer, and Art Director on a multitude of projects.

The hard work paid off when LightPoint formed a strategic partnership with Disney and I was promoted to Creative Director.  After moving to Orlando, Florida, I spent a few years working with Disney on projects for television, live shows, games and film.

My time with Disney allowed me a chance to grow and work in other positions such as producer, writer, and director for animation as well as live action in addition to my role as an animator and creative director. Here my works included the design of LightPoint Entertainment’s corporate identity, creating an interactive CD-ROM for the country of Denmark and art directing and directing the trailer, filmatic sequences, and look for a DVD-ROM game.  I have also shot a couple of commercials, including a public service announcement and a short film, which I co-directed and co-produced.

In April of 1999 I left the Disney-MGM lot to join Planet X(later to become Cytura) as the Director of New Media.  Here I was tasked with building the new media division from its inception. This included not only functioning as Creative Director but hiring staff, setting up production processes, acquisition of hardware and client relationship management.
