I spent the next few years growing the department and building successful business relationships with clients such as Disney, Microsoft, and several large healthcare organizations. We worked on animation (2D/3D) projects for shows and games and branched out into Internet work quickly. We designed sites and animated internet shorts for different clients and in time the services team which consisted of programmers and project managers were moved into my group so I could manage the direction of projects from design through implementation. I found myself needing to bridge design and technical issues and providing direction on how to execute projects so that both needs were meet.
It was during this time that Cytura developed a web content managment tool that allowed every day users to submit content through a simple web interface to a website. In October of 2002 Cytura(originally Planet X) was acquired by Mobius Management Systems, Inc. for the Web Content Managment product that my team was in charge of implementing.
I joined Mobius as part of the acquisition and was left in charge of the continued implementation of the product including leading the team responsible for the design and implementation of these sites. I continued to function as not only a Creative Director but spent the years at Mobius focused on learning more about business development and managing client relationships.
